IRS tools · Identity Protection PIN

The IRS Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN) is a 6-digit number from the IRS. If you already have one, retrieve your current year’s PIN through your IRS Online Account (Profile). If you lost it, the IRS provides retrieval or mail reissue steps. Share your IP PIN directly with your trusted tax preparer when needed for filing — never paste it into portal messages.

This takes you to IRS.gov. Virtual Money Tax Services does not issue, retrieve, or replace your IRS IP PIN.

Common questions

Why can’t I see my case?

The office must verify your identity and link your account. Share your private account link code from My profile only with your tax office.

Is my refund amount guaranteed?

No. Financial figures are office-posted estimates. Advance approvals and amounts are subject to the lender, and no lender integration is currently active.

Does this portal track the IRS live?

No. Use the official IRS refund checker for federal refund information.
